Thinking about "NOTHING"

I have done this several times when i am utterly frustrated or just too calm or just too messed up in a troubleshooting that is going nowhere, I will start thinking something when my roomie will shake me up and ask. "What are you thinking?”? My answer will be "Nothing".

I started wondering today that why is that I think "nothing”? There are so many issues in and around me that needs dire attention like my laundry or global warming but still I am not thinking about them. What’s wrong with me or is it something that happens with everyone. How would I know never shared this thing with anyone :).

I started analyzing the times when I thought about "Nothing" and I reached a conclusion that Whenever I want my mind to wander in a blissful state when either something is going wrong or nothing is happening around me I start thinking about it and this "Nothing" is not completely empty, It has all my thought's jumbled up in a big mess and I start thinking about second topic before I can finish the first one , The topics at that point range from filling my timesheet to Why Alice could see figures in cloud's and I can't ? My wishful thinking at that moment takes 1000 wings and wants to fly away where ever I want and that’s one of the reasons that when someone asks me what were you thinking I have the answer "Nothing". As even i am not sure that those thought's can be put in word's or not.

When i started writing my first blog on Wipro Portal , I had "NOTHING" in my mind .

Dynamic's in Life

Life is changing fast and being a Taurus i am not a big fan of changes or the changes which are not in my favour. However, In life there are few changes on which we don't have any control what so ever and you would have to live with it .

I am on my another shortest possible trip to my hometown and as usual the frenzy of meeting of all my relatives is driving me crazy in a good way . The food is great the love that i get from them is priceless and the way they treat me like a kid still amazes me, i am a female of 5'8 for god sake .

When i was in school and come to this place which is nearly 2 hour's away from kolkata and you have to either take a bus or local train , i prefer locals any day over buses. This place is called Basirhat this place happens to be my mom's mother place ( birth place ) . Her home is a joint family however everybody has their their home in one boundary. So when i used to enter this place it was so lively with people buzzing all the places servent's running every where and kid's playing or just creating noise and all the females of the house either cooking or gossipping and i had to spend so much time downstair's that by the time i reached my nani i was tired, that was several years ago.
When i came down this time everything looked same from outside but when i entered the gate of the grand home i was shocked by the silent greeting that i got from the walls around me and the the hearts of people that had grown cold with time for some reason. The elder's of family are left behind due to family issues between 2 brother's. 2 cousin sister not talking with each other when they live in the same building ,it was very starnge for me to look at the home like this where once the heart's were so warm that it could have melt an icecream.
It's a depressing house now , People want to get out of here and never come back . i don't blame those people who would want to live in a place where a dad beat's up his wife and the daughter's , and one of the daughter takes nerves medicine so that she can sleep while all this happens in house and later she is diagnosed with nerve diesease, i would definitely not want to live in such place .
It's sad that how everything is changing. i wish globalwarming could warm up the hearts of people also and everything could go back to what it was like once.

Ahhhh.. My wishful thinking.....

Drenched Rain

I have always loved rain as a kid,it was my dream to learn swimming in flood and i had told my babai the same thing and he laughed like a hyena rolling on floor, that was an embarrassing idea i had but anyways that's long ago when i was in first standard.

Now i am like any other girl and when my feet is pedicured i don't like to dirty it .

But today GOD had some different plans for me.

Me and my roomie after 3 long week of contemplating decided that today is the day to shop so around 4:45 pm we left for MG road. Sreeparna complained even before getting out of the house"OMG it's so sunny outside and it's nearing 5 in evening doesn't look like though"

I told her let's go shopping and be crazy :-D the wise me .

We were waiting for the bus and Sreeparna started complaining of headache due to sunshine and i had to provide shade for her with my height ( She is Sweet at times ),We finally got a tum tum ( a rickshaw kind of thing that normally fit's in 4 ppl ) and we decided that we will go to cooperation and from there we will catch another bus that will take us to MG.

The moment we sat in tum tum we loved the cool breeze blowing all around us and by the time we reached cooperation it was pouring and i was in shocked state of happiness and craziness and Sreeparna was thinking way to get us in MG and i was thinking way's to get that tum tum guy to return to our place. Both of us did what any sane person would do , We got out in the rain and with in 2 seconds we were drenched, We took shelter below some one's stair's with 15 other people there.
We gathered some courage and got out in rain search for a Bus / Auto / Anything that will take us back to house,we said sandal shopping can wait but we need to get back, So we took shelter against a " CLOUD BURST " in a bus stop shed and it was pouring from all sides and there our mind played a nice trick and both disillusioned girl's decided to go to Mc D in Aundh . We abducted an Auto wala and made him take us to Mc D , Where the juicy burger's were waiting for both of us. At that point of time i felt like i am in movie " Harold and Kumar go to white Castle " . We got there and ordered our items and i specifically asked Mc D guys if drenched people are allowed to sit inside, He just grinned :-D.
We ordered 2 Chicken Mc Grill,1 Mc Veggie ,1 Mc aloo Tikki, 1 medium french fry, 1 potato wedges, and 2 hot cappachino.
It was a bliss to have all those stuff as we both were hungry,Sreeparna with her dipping clothes made a nice water park around her :-D
From there we went gift shopping and Sree gifted me a nice diary and from there we took another Auto and came back to our place and had Nice filling and aromatic Apple pie.
We both are always hungry When it's good food .

CHANGES

Someone once said
" CHANGE IS ESSENCE OF LIFE "

I guess he was right and he had a foresight better than any of us.
In the span of my career in IT i have seen people changing more than the policies and that baffles me .
I am a girl who is bad in politics and worse in diplomacy :-(
I tried to learn these traits and failed with flying colors, Though i have seen people who have done this with so aplomb as if this was their forte.
When i see people around me change so fast i feel i never knew them really.
Convenience is something that they were looking for and when they got that they modified themselves to fulfil the needs. " Survival of the fittest " this quote by Charles Darwin holds so much worth in today's life . He would had been amazed to know that what he said for species in paleolithic age holds true in 21st century also.
But i am trying to find an answer to a question which is unanswered for me :
IS CHANGING IN A NEGATIVE WAY IS NECESSARY ?

I Love You

I love you because you make me happyI love you because you make me feel safe and secureI love your smileI love the way you say my nameI love the look in your eyes when you tell me you love meAnd how you laugh at me when I do something stupid, when others would putme down.I love the fact that when I'm around you I can be myself and not worryabout what you may think of me, because I know you love me for who I am. No matter what my faults may be.I love being able to wake up with you by my side... It makes my daysbetterAt night I love watching you sleep, hearing you take each breath, andfeeling your heart beat with the palm of my hand... reality hits that youare not a dream YOU ARE MINE.I love the way you wrap your arms around me and hold me really tight, likethere is no tomorrowAnd I love the way I feel when your lips barely touch mine for a kiss, thelove and emotions that go through me at that moment are unexplainable.I love your laughI love hearing your voiceI love that you get along with my family and friend, no matter how muchyou dislike them, or who they are.And hearing you tell me your stories, you could tell them to me a thousandtimes, and I will never get tired of them, because they are a part of you.But the main reason I love you is because.....You are you!

My Trip To Lonavala

Well well i am sure that people who have lived in Pune will go to Lonavala atleast once in their stay here, thats the custom i guess :-P

Guess what :-) i completed one year in Pune by going to Lonavala. it was a fun trip for me. We went on bike so there was no protection what so ever from the wind, dust and small small flying objects which inevitably found their way in my eyes and mouth( i swallowed one of them yuukkss!!!! ) .

We started out journey at 1800 hours from where i stay praying to god that "PLEASE DONT RAIN" , This trip was not at all about sightseeing it was more about being on bike :-D and ya how can i forget the Rs 4 tea in Lonavala. So in short we went to have tea in Lonavala. That was out aim while going there. Our avg speed was 60 km/h and we had to stop for a Sutta Break(Smoke Break) as my partner in crime needed it . The person whom i went with is the confident and safest biker . While going through the old highway there were three things which stuck me most. First being the countryside around me it was beautiful. I have almost visited all the hill stations in northern India so small cliffs now dont entice me so much but i was awestuck by the sights i saw in a cloudy evening. Lets come to the second thing it has to be the no. housing societies out in nowhere which made me realise that in next 10 years the countryside that i saw will be milling with crowd and the greenry thats there now if not maintained will be lost. Last and the final, I asked my partner in crime why there are so many heavy vehicle on old highway when they have the pleasure of using the new express highway. The answer that was given to me was "CHEAP" ok what i mean here is, the toll is cheaper than express highway. Now that proves The point of Russell Peters that "INDIANS ARE CHEAP"(No offence intended towards anyone) .

We reached Lonavala by 2000 hrs and had the famous " Tea " :-) which was no doubt refreshing and Lonavala in famous for its Chikkis so i got some from there and half of it was finished on the way only it was soo good. We left Lonavala around 2030 hrs and it was drizzling at that moment and guess what by the time we reached the starting of the Lonavala it was pouring and we were wet so we experienced the famous ghat rain too. We had to stop at first toll bridge for fifteen minutes so that we can talk to our Moms and get saved from the warth of raingod. From there we started our journey back and TRUST ME we completed the journey in less than 40 mins,we had an average speed of 80 km/hr and we were speechless and and i enjoyed that ride. HAve you ever felt the thrill of passing between two vehicles on a decent speed of 70 , i felt it and it was an awsm feeling.

By the time we reached home we had mud pack on our face and our hair was entangled with fine dust bu the feeling in my heart my something that i just cant comprehend in words.

!*! Body Art !*!

Body Art is the most ancient form of art which existed even before the human species learned to cover the body with animal skin or better Leaves ;-) . They used to paint there body with colours which they extracted from leaves or made from different natural things around them.

Another form of art was that of piercing the body with different sharp materials and keeping them pierced for years to come.

In some tribal community the chief of the tribe is recognised by the number of piercing the person has done throughout the years and this ritual is going on for centuries.

It is amazing to see how body art has evolved from being an obligation to fashion statement in recent times. 95% of people in India alone has some or other body art on them it can be a simple ear piercing and can be a tattoo anywhere in body.

Earlier centuries women used to do piercing so that they can look beautiful by wearing those enormous stones/gems. Looks like we have followed that tradition beautifully over the centuries ,and no doubt we have taken the legacy ahead by not only making it more beautiful but appealing in our own way ..

When a girl does Navel piercing it is considered to be attractive and when a boy goes for eyebrow piercing forgetting the fear of pain inevitably he gets the tag of cool dude.

I still remember my personal experience when i went for navel piercing , i had mixed emotions of fear and excitement and once the piercing was done i was on seventh heaven :-D may be eighth , seriously i don't remember i just knew that i have done something that will be with me , my secret.

Same goes for the tattoos they are with us for centuries and this concept of tattoo have been used in movies and the latest trend being the person whom you love you have the name tattooed on your hand and several other things .

Piercings are in a way permanent on your body but the best part about tattoos is that they can be temporaray also and seriously i wont mind getting one myself one day which will be permanent :-P .

For now i have had many temporary ones ..
